Community Classes

In 2008, Bookcliffs Council on the Arts and Humanities received 5 acres with the Stonehouse Gallery, Metal Arts Building, Hilltop Stage, Humanities Classroom, and the Sunrise Community Gardens from the Morrow family in Rifle, CO.  With this gift, we have been hosting classes on site since.

Stonehouse Gallery

The Stonehouse Gallery is the most prominent building on campus.  Built in the late 1800's, it has been remodeled into our mixed-use gallery and classroom.  The gallery is filled with wall art and other art crafts.  The open space can be used for hosting the cleaner art classes such as dry painting and drawing.

Metal Arts Building

The Metal Arts Building will be our future ceramics and pottery studio. Please watch for more info as we eagerly await the completion of this project!

Humanities Building

The Humanities building has recently been converted to host our Gardens Tools, as well as provide a central location for our Gardener's to meet, communicate, and share knowledge with. While a work in progress, we eagerly await our members to shape this building into a tool that fits their needs just as they have with our gardens themselves.
